Success!

This morning, my parents participated in Standard Chartered KL Marathon.

Why am I blogging about this?

You see, this was the first time my parents were running a full marathon, a distance of 42.195km. And they were really serious about the whole thing. They've been training for goodness knows how long, following strict training schedules etc.

And today, all that training paid off. My parents managed to complete their first full marathon within 6 hours!

Good job Mummy and Daddy. I'm really happy that you two have finally achieved what you've been working so hard for.

**********************************************************

I haven't cycled for a long time, so earlier, this evening, I took the bike out and went for a leisurely cycle around USJ2. I turned into random streets and alleys, just familiarizing myself with the bike. (I forgot how to cycle, I mean, I knew how to get moving, but forgot how to control the bike when I made turns etc =P)

And as I turned down this alleyway, I heard dogs barking. I ignored them, cause I thought they were probably in the compounds of nearby houses. They were growling and barking and snarling, and I just cycled on.

After a while, I realized that the barks were getting louder. So I turned and when I saw that there were two dogs right behind my bicycle, I...yelled. In fright.

I couldn't control the bike and had to stumble to a stop. The dogs would probably have had me by then, but I started roaring at them (anger this time, anger is good for dealing with scares) and they fled back to a third dog, which was barking madly. The two vanished into a side alley, but the third one stood there and barked away at me.

I almost got onto the bike to get away, but I realized that could bring the dogs in again, so I wheeled the bike away while snarling at the last dog, and when they were out of sight, I scarpered, the dog's barks still following me. Thank goodness they didn't give chase...

I WAS FREAKED OUT MAN.
