Day 1:
Went to the airport in the afternoon, flight was at 2 pm. And it was delayed.

We flew AirAsia.
Take-off was horrible. I was badly jolted and felt queasy for a little while afterwards. Dad was quite nauseous I think. Mom and bro seemed ok. Bro kept staring at clouds and taking photos of them.

Landing was alright however. Some of the passengers gave a round of applause when we touched down.

It was a little difficult to get a car, and my parents had to bargain a bit. We finally settled on a Myvi lol.
We arrived in Langkawi pretty late in the afternoon, after 3pm, so we headed straight to the hotel to check-in. We stayed in the Awana Porto Malai hotel, south of the island.

My bro and I took one room, and my parents took an adjacent one.

We checked in quickly enough, and then my bro and I went down to explore the area. The hotel was on the seaside.

In the evening, we drove to Kuah Town for dinner and to do some shopping. We didn't really know where to have dinner, so we just ate at the Langkawi Sunrise Restaurant. The food was ok, we ordered pretty ordinary stuff.

Bought me a couple of beers I haven't tried before. I had the San Miguel that night. It was a Filipino beer =.=
