1) Teambuilding and Leadership Skills
It's one of the subjects I'm taking this semester. The name...makes it sound more like some self-development activity class or something.
No lectures, not tutorials. But GAMES.
A change from all the classes and work and stuff. We just go to class, follow the lecturers' instructions, and carry out some fun activities.
It's all pretty cool. I get to mingle around with people I don't know, and make new friends. They're also really interesting and fun people too.
The lecturers themselves are nice, so all in all, a subject that's a little more...relaxed than the rest.
2) Oral Communication and Interpersonal Skills
All about communication. It's not all about talking though. We still go through lecture classes like other subjects cause it's quite exam-oriented. This is the only subject where the grade is actually counted in the GPA/CGPA. Important.
People tell me they think it's boring, but honestly, I find the subject matter really interesting. Stuff about communication...nice! Sadly, the huge pile of assignments coupled with the short semester duration makes this subject a tough one to handle.
3) Pengajian Malaysia
Hoo-boy. Sejarah all over again. Some of the things we study look like they were directly ripped out of our old Sejarah textbooks.
3-hour lecture, twice a week. Killer.
4) Sun Zi's Art of War
Yes, we finally have military education at the tertiary level! Hooray for Malaysia!
Nope, bullshit.
:D
Don't get me wrong. We REALLY study Sun Zi's Art of War (THE Art of War). But not for war. We apply the same concepts to business. It's kinda interesting, though it's a bit odd to see pictures of money and pictures of soldiers and tanks all in the same page.
That's about it. Not a single Math subject in sight @_@
